Hey so I know you asked me this a long time ago but I wanted to tell you about T's curls. Elias' hair is still so thin that I just run my fingers through it and put some coconut oil conditioner in. I have a baby brush but have only used it once. T's hair is much thicker and his curls much longer than Elias'. I do not think a baby brush or baby comb will do you much good with his hair. I would suggest getting a regular size comb. At least that is what I remember. His hair is so soft I just loved running my fingers though it...and I know you will too! SOON!

So about the crib...weird. We only have one set of pics of Elias in his crib which were from early Nov. and he was in this crib. We asked the nannies which was his and they told us that one; however I don't remember there being another one like it. There was a blue room and a pink room. He was in the blue room which was smaller and there was lots of blue but I don't think there was another crib like it. Maybe the nannies just say which crib is whose for the parents sake but maybe the kids just sleep in whatever crib. Elias' photo album was still hanging on that crib though. You will have to check it out for me and give me your opinion.

If you need any packing advice, please ask me! We didn't bring much and didn't really need anything else. I was surprised by how light we packed since I am not a light packer in general. So excited for you!

As for food, most of the babies are only eating some rice cereal type stuff. Our 1 year old had never had anything solid like a cracker and wouldn't eat anything for a while. I would bring (and did bring) some rice cereal, puffs, yogurt bites. You can find all of that stuff in the baby food aisle. They really don't feed the babies (even the 10 months olds) much more than really smooth baby food/cereal stuff, so don't bring too much food for him. It will be very new for him. In Ethiopia, I figured out how much food she was eating and then took enough for the plane ride home. The plane ride home is really long, so just bring some toys. I found that our daughter was more interested in things like my watch and a water bottle than any toys. You could tell that she had never seen many normal everyday things and she loves them.

I also brought a lot of wipes and diapers for the plane and needed them. I also brought three outfits for the plane ride home. We packed a bigger carry on that could go in the overhead that had extras of everything. But, make sure that you stick to the carry on rules if you fly Ethiopian air or they will make you check it and pay for it.

The clothes I brought for Jessa were long sleeves and long pants. The kids are use to being pretty warm so I dressed her in light layers the whole time and on the flight home. We had our laundry done there at the hotel and it was totally worth it. That way we didn't have to bring as much.
