Happy 2nd Birthday Noah Tamirat

So Saturday my baby boy turned 2. Some of you probable know that we didn't do alot for Noah's first birthday because he hadn't been home long and we felt it would be to much to have a big party. Well we decided to make up for it with birthday #2. On Friday my parents and my niece and nephew came and Noah enjoyed seeing them again. I think for a little while he forgot to say momma every two seconds. Friday night after noah was in bed we went into party mode. Presents got wrapped or put togeather and laid out for Noah to find in the morning. Balloons got blown up (lots of them) and as soon as we knew Noah was asleep we snuck in and tossed them all over his bedroom floor. He was very excited in the morning and it made getting anything (diaper changed and getting dressed) in his room near impossible because he just wanted to run around and kick the balloons. He got all his presents from Mommy & Daddy and his cousins and grandparents on saturday so he had fun playing with all of those. On Sunday was his first real birthday party. We had the party at a local bounce place and everyone invited adults included had fun. I don't know how people do parties where they have to do all the set up and clean up and plan activities because I didn't do any of that and I was exhausted at the end of the day. Over all Noah had a great 2nd birthday and if you on facebook there are 2 albums of pictures you can enjoy.

Ethiopian families get togeather.

Yesterday was a busy day. First order of business was to get Noah a haircut. He'll be 2 next weekend and we wanted him to have a new haircut for his big day. Not to mention its getting hot here and he sweats "alot". He handled this 3rd haircut like a champ.
After the haircut it was time to head to the park where we would be meeting up with other families that have or are adopting from Ethiopia. There was a playground and a big field for the kids to run and kick balls or throw frisbees and then a beach for digging in the sand and swimming. We didn't get many pictures and none of the swimming but here are the few we did get. Noah was very nervous about the water but warmed up to it by the end of the day...he loves baths and pools but water that moves is scary. My little man with his new "haircut" playing ball.

Next month Noah and I will be flying to TN for a gathering of families from our adoption agency. You can bet there will be a ton of pictures of Ethiopian sweeties that I will post when we get home.

An Early birthday present.

Noah got an early birthday present in the mail this week. He loves his bubbles and his new book.

Memorial Day weekend.

So we didn't spend our weekend with parades and barbeques and all the typical holiday weekend things . We did lots of errands and yard work. Noah helping daddy.

So blessed that this beautiful boy is my son.

Almost 23 Months old.

Our "little" Noah Tamirat will be 23 months old in just 3 days. He's growing like a weed. In Feb we had to buy him new sneakers because he outgrew his old ones..at the time he was a size 7. Yesterday we had to go and buy him new ones and he's now a size 8. These are his new sneakers. A size 9 because its hard to find an 8 1/2 wide width sneaker that ties instead of Velcro.

Noah also decided he likes sunglasses so we bought him 2 pairs.

And he got some new "la la" Elmo shoes. Doesn't he just think he's the cutest.

Noah is into everything he can get his hands on. His new favorite thing to do is jump which he has mastered in the last month. How quickly we are sneaking up on birthday # 2...The plans are all made just waiting on the big day.

What's new in the Albright house?

Busy time around here. May rolls in with Mother's Day, Our anniversary and my birthday. My amazing men got me a Kindle and took me to Olive Garden I'm so blessed to have them both. I tried to get a good picture of Noah Tamirat and I on my 2ND mother's day..here's what happened. But mom my tooth hurts. Noah has tooth #20 on its way. It's making very slow progress and being very painful at times.

I think Honey is looking to play cars and Noah wants to be on the go.

So he sits on his couch but won't look at the camera.

I remember when Noah had to stand on tip toes and could still barely see out this window. Now he loves to watch the birds and squirrels at the feeders outside and helps Daddy keep them filled.

I can't believe my baby will be 2 years old next month. We booked his birthday party at a bounce place and I can't wait to celebrate my sweet little man. Last year was just momma & daddy with some cake and presents because we hadn't been hope that long so this year will be fun to have a real party with family and friends.

Excuse me now while I go and have a good cry that my boy is almost 2.
